Thread lift is a brilliant aesthetic method for firming and lifting saggy skin. It is also very effective in redefining facial contours. This procedure is an excellent alternative to surgical lift because it is much less invasive. It achieves great results without a long recovery period, pain or surgery risks. It involves inserting fine threads and pulling the skin to make it tighter and smoother. The procedure triggers the body’s natural healing processes and eventually brings to skin rejuvenation. It also boosts collagen production, an important protein, that supports the skin and lifts it.

Nose Thread Lift

Nose thread uses threads to shape and enhance the appearance of the nose. Fine threads are inserted under the skin to lift the bridge and tip of the nose while stimulating collagen to achieve a permanent nose lift. Polydioxanone threads (PDO) are 100% biocompatible and are absorbed by our body. The results are immediately visible as the threads form a framework for the nose. Provides a firmer lift and a sharper, more defined contour.

Dermal fillers are soft, gel-like substances that are injected under the skin. They can address a number of common concerns including smoothing of deep under-eye circles, lifting of cheekbones, volumization of the lips, smoothing of lip lines and nasolabilal folds (the creases that run from the side of the nose to the corners of the mouth), and rejuvenation of the hands.

One of the most common compounds used in dermal fillers is hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a naturally occurring substance found in our skin, and it plays a major role in keeping skin hydrated and volumized. HA fillers, depending on their specific chemical makeup, can last from six months to much longer before being gradually absorbed by the body. One of the main benefits of HA fillers, aside from their natural appearance when injected, is that they can be dissolved by a special solution in case of an adverse event, or if the person dislikes the appearance.

Dermal fillers can be used to increase hydration to the skin, particularly the face, neck and hands. They are very useful to smooth fine lines on the forehead and the lower face. Moderate lines over the mouth to the chin area and the nose to lip corners can be softened. Cheeks, nose and chin can be remodelled and given more definition to boost your outlook. Scars can be minimised, lips can be defined or enhanced, subtly and naturally.

THE BENEFITS OF DERMAL FILLERS

TREATMENT AREA & CONDITIONS

What Conditions Can Dermal Fillers Fix?
  • Dark eye circles & eye bags

  • Facial blemishes like lines & wrinkles

  • Sagging jowls or deep nasolabial lines

  • Tired, haggard or dull skin

  • Sunken cheeks, hollow temples, lids & tear throughs

  • Thin or ageing lips

  • Deflated cheeks & chin

Our skin cells naturally produce hyaluronic acid to maintain moisture levels. When dermal filler is injected into the skin, the hyaluronic acid in the filler will act as a magnet to attract moisture to the skin and face. This extra hyaluronic enables the face to pulp, resulting in smoother skin on the face.

Dermal filler works in two ways:

  • Wrinkle-Free: Dermal filler is injected into the dermis to help fill in and provide volume to sunken skin and wrinkles on the face. Thus, the skin becomes firmer, smoother, and younger-looking.

  • Facial Sculpting: Dermal filler is injected deep into the muscles and targets strategic areas of the patient’s bone structure. This will help contour and reshape areas such as the chin, nose and jawline while adding volume to achieve more definition. Giving the overall appearance a more 3D look.

HOW IT WORKS?

Before the procedure

HOW IS THE PROCEDURE DONE?

Our doctors will assess your skin type and condition, discuss your treatment goals and develop a customized treatment plan. Our doctor will guide you through the entire procedure and obtain your written consent.
During the procedure
The treatment area will be thoroughly cleaned and applied with numbing gel prior to the procedure. Microinjections are then placed just under the surface of your skin and performed evenly across the targeted areas to ensure the formula is spread evenly. The treatment can be completed within 15 minutes or more depending on the size of the treated area.
After the procedure
You may experience slight swelling or inflammation around the injection site, but this is temporary.
You should avoid alcohol and aspirin for at least 24 hours post-treatment. In addition, you should avoid vigorous exercise and excessive heat for up to 48 hours post-treatment. It is also recommended to avoid using makeup for the first 12 hours following your treatment.

Is the treatment painful?

Depending on your pain tolerance, this treatment should not cause extreme pain or discomfort. The microinjections are shallow and performed with fine needles that will not cause excessive bleeding. Besides, numbing cream is applied before the injection so you won’t feel any discomfort.

You can see visible results almost immediately following the treatment. Optimal results will start to show after 3 to 4 weeks. Results can vary for each individual.

What is the difference between dermal filler and Botox?

Dermal fillers and Botox are two different techniques used to reduce signs of aging around the face. Botox works as a muscle relaxant to decrease muscle activity that causes wrinkles.

Dermal fillers target a certain area and stimulate collagen production while plumping and lifting the skin caused by a loss of collagen. Dermal fillers for your jawline can soften sharp angles, add volume to hollow cheeks, and reduce static lines and wrinkles that are always visible regardless of your facial expressions.

How often should I go for this treatment?

The initial treatments can be done once every 3 to 4 weeks – following this, the results should last up to 6 months. To maintain the quality of your skin, you can get this treatment done once every 6 months.

How long will dermal filler last?

Dermal Filler last between 6 to 18 months although there is variation between individuals, as well as according to the type, quantity and depth of the dermal filler placed within your skin. Fillers are not a permanent procedure and eventually the hyaluronic acid will get reabsorbed naturally into the body. You are advised to visit your doctor every 6 to 9 months for reevaluation.
