HOW IS THE PROCEDURE DONE?

The treatment area will be disinfected, numb cream will be applied if necessary. AestheFill is injected directly into the treatment area and ends with a light massage to ensure that the product is evenly filled in the inner layers of the dermis. If you may feel discomfort, it will disappear after a short time.

After the procedure

You may experience mild swelling, redness, numbness, pain or tenderness at the injection sites for the first 24 hours. All the sensitivities should stop after a day or two post-procedure. It is important to avoid touching or rubbing the treated area, as it might cause infections leading to complications. It is also necessary to refrain from using cosmetics, do not go to the sauna, solarium or swimming pool for at least 24-48 hours.

Am I suitable for treatment?

Is the treatment painful?

Any injection would feel like a small, prickly feeling, but the needles used is very small. Besides, numbing cream is applied before the injection so you won't feel any discomfort.

Is there any side effects?

There are minimal side effects such as swelling, redness, numbness, pain or tenderness at the injection site for the first 24 hours. There will be very minimal or no complications as the filler is a natural substance which is derived from lactic acid found in various food sources, which is safe for use in the body and will eventually be naturally excreted from the body. You can be back to your usual routines such as work and exercise quickly after the procedure.

When can I see the result?

The result will become noticeable after the first procedure. Wrinkles are smoothed out creating a visible volume. You might notice that the swelling will reduce within a few days and it is normal as it is actually starting to stimulate collagen production. It takes about 45-90 days after the treatment to see the full result.

How many treatments do I need?

An average of 2 to 3 sessions is recommended for optimal results, with treatments done in intervals of 4 to 6 weeks.

Is there any downtime?

There is no downtime needed for this quick dermal filler treatment. This procedure is comfortable and painless as the treated area will be numbed while it is being injected. It is important to avoid touching or rubbing the treated area for at least 24 hours after the treatment to prevent infection.

There is no need to perform any complicated care activities after the treatment. However, it is important not to touch the injection sites, as it might cause infections leading to complications. It is also necessary to refrain from using cosmetics, do not go to the sauna, solarium or swimming pool for at least 24-48 hours.

What should I do following treatment?

The patient should be informed that he or she should minimize exposure of the treated area to excessive sun and UV lamp exposure and extreme cold weather until any initial swelling and redness has resolved.
